Beauty Finds

This week’s stuff I am loving post is all about beauty products.

1) Ahava Skin Care Line

Ahava uses minerals from the Dead Sea in their products. I used to think that skin care wasn’t a real priority, but have quickly learned, it makes a huge difference. Utah’s super dry air has done a number on me, and this skin care line is amazing! Specifically, I am loving their Moisturizer and their Purifying Mud Mask. You can find their products at Ulta, Nordstroms, or buy online here.

2) Butter London Nail Polish

Butter London is the perfect polish. It goes on so smooth, and lasts. $15 for a bottle, but you also use less because it goes a long way. I just picked up this color while I was in Vegas, and am obsessed.

3) Cargo Bronzer

I’ve been using Cargo products for a few years now, and their bronzer in particular is my absolute favorite. It feels light and I love the natural look of it. I use this one.

4) Bumble and Bumble’s Hair Dressers’ Oil

My hair is crazy thick. I use quality shampoo and also use a Kertase product to help with strength, but because of the dry climate, I always struggle with little flyaways. This stuff works wonders, and a very little bit, goes a long way. Bonus: super soft hair.

5) MeBath

I totally forgot about these little bath treats until I was in Vegas this past weekend, and decided to pick up some bath bubbles at the Apothecary. My Mom bought me one of these years ago, and the store I went to had a gigantic display of these little ice cream bath treats when I walked in. They smell amazing, and it doesn’t leave that yucky soapy film on your skin. I used the Saddlewood Fig, and it was almost as delicious as real ice cream. ;)

What are some of your beauty favorites?

Stuff I Am Loving : Home Edition

Moving into a new house brings the urge to refresh and decorate. New spaces require new pretty things…at least that is what I keep telling my husband. This edition of “Stuff I Am Loving” is inspired by “Home.”

These Porcelain mugs by StudioRobinPieterse because woodland creatures are simply perfect.

This recycled Row House, Bird House from Anthropologie. Probably a do-able DIY, if you were so inclined.

This amazing quilt that I’m mulling over for our Master Bedroom. I can’t deal with another $15 Ikea Duvet cover and this quilt is simply divine.

Nate Berkus for Target. Every piece in this collection is just perfect. I picked up the Brass Urchin and the Natural dipped vase, and it really makes the gold accents in our living area pop. Affordable, and totally chic.

And, if you are looking for the perfect coffee table book, why not create an Instabook for your Instagrams? I love these accordion style ones from Rag and Bone Bindery.

Stuff I Am Loving: B. Toys

Have you all seen the adorable collection of toys at Target called ” Just B. you.” ? Kinsey has their toy cars, and today I picked up a couple of their little rubber balls because the girl suddenly has taken an interest in things that roll.

Firstly, they have the cutest little toys. Fun colors, and unique combinations of things and really affordable. I am a bit obsessed. They have a boat for the tub that Kinsey might have to own. Anyway, inside the cute little ball box (they have adorable packaging), there was a little booklet with funny little quotes attached to messages that said “B Inspired” or “B Insightful”. I went to their website, and gushed over their branding, and found an entire section dedicated to quotes submitted by parents, that you can save and use as a screensaver.

So, I sort of love them. I love their toys, but now love THEM as a company. Their “B. Story” on their website ends with this:

“At the end of the day, our goal is to be bigger than a toy company.

We want to be a voice to children that says it’s okay to be curious, to be pensive, to be loud, to be happy and sad all at the same time, to be generous, to be afraid, to be quiet, to be wild, to be fun, to be open, to be scientific, to be poetic, to be giddy, to be serious, to be smart, to be free, to be you.

Just B. Just you. B. you.”

I think they are doing it right, and seem to understand how completely chaotic (and amazing) it is to be a kid. Just my 2 cents ;)
